Słońce jest kobietą-Manifa/Sun is a woman-Feminist Demonstration

W piątek mgła. Wczoraj szaro.
Gdy policja zdjęła go z samochodu, padła odpowiedź "Lucyna teraz odleci na miotle.

GIRL POWER!!!

On Friday there was fog. Yesterday the day was grey and gloomy. Today I was waken up by a sun sharp like a lamp directed on the eyes of an intervied person. Women are lucky.
I was about to join this demonstration many times but in 3city it was always organized in Gdańsk (unlike this year - girls were demonstrating in Gdynia today) - which is far.
This year I made it.
Under the Palace of Culture and Science some man climbed up the car with the leaders of demonstration, he took the microphone and started shouting "Lucyna, don't be silly, come back home!!!" When the police took him down, the answear came: "Lucyna will now fly away on her broom. And you will have to deal with it. Lucyna, don't be silly - leave that idiot and come with us!!!"

Only police officers might have not felt the cheerful atmosphere - mostly women were delegated to guard the demonstration. They couldn't have had different plans for this Sunday - other than to march with faces serious like their unforms among laughing and screeming crowd.
I liked the secular tone of most speeches. And although some of the slogans chanted by the crowd were a bit too naive and sounded more like pure demagogy than logic reasons - today I've felt proud of the fact that I am a woman.
More pics in the album.
GIRL POWER!!!

Dyrektorski palec / Boss's finger

Tak wygląda mój palec od czwartku. A oto wersje wydarzeń:
1. Oficjalna
Należę do klanu yakuzów.
2. Dla szefowej.
- Pani prezes, mam wzmocnienie na najważniejszy palec. To teraz mogę być dyrektorem?
3. Filmowa
Krew trysnęła na deskę do krojenia. Fontanna zalewała mieszkanie, gdy budziłam brata, żeby zatamował krwotok. Łazienka już zawsze będzie czerwona. Gdyby wpuścić tu Quentina Tarantino z kamerą, byłby hit.
4. Gabinetowa.
Lekarz: Opatrunek założony, to teraz zrobimy anatoksynkę.
Igła ląduje w moim ramieniu (do dzisiaj mam siniaka). Podskakuję na kozetce.
Lekarz: Przecież to nie boli.
Ja: Wiem. Podskakuję profilaktycznie.
5. Lekarska
“Rana cięta palca II ręki prawej”
6. Religijna

That is how my finger looks since thursday. And these are versions of the story:
1. Official
I belong to the yakuza clan. I’ve never told you about it - but well you simply don’t talk about such stuff. I was assigned to a mission - to eliminate other’s clan boss’s wife. We made an appoitment at SPA. Massage. Algae. Beauty masks. I killed her sister - in their masks they looked pretty much the same. My older brother got a bit irritated. As for an apology I had to cut off my finger. It’s a kind of an insult so after I got my finger sewed back I eliminated my elder brother (he doesn’t go to SPA). No I am the boss of the clan.
2. For the CEO.
- My most important finger is strenghtened now. Does it mean that I can be the boss?
3. Movie
Blood has spilled all over the kitchen. The fountain has been pouring over the flat when I woke up my brother to help me stop the stream. The bathroom will stay red forever. If I did let Quentin Tarantino in - this moive would be a hit.
4. Surgery
Doctor: The bandage is done. No we will make the anatoxin injection.
The needle lands in my arm. I’m jumping on the bed.
Doctor: But it doesn’t hurt.
Me: I know. It was just a preventive jump.
5. Doctor’s
“II hand (right) finger stab wound”
6. Religious
It is the god’s finger. And god is a woman. Now she will punish all the men (yeah, she does know what for).
7. Factual
No, the soup was not too salty. But the roll was too hard and the knife too sharp.

Od dupy strony / From the wrong side

Nie będzie o seksie analnym. Nie tym razem. (A szkoda?)
ja: autobusowe też? bo o lotach to wiem

Brakuje przemieszczania.
W mojej głowie rodzi się plan. Zdradziłam go kilku osobom.

FROM THE WRONG SIDE*
*in polish we say “from the ass side” - means the same but sounds “better”
This post is not going to be about anal sex. Not this time (What a pitty?)
I shall start with a piece of conversaion I had with my friend on chat:

ja: hey
do u know it's just 1800 km from delhi to dhaka?
good news :D
S: haa haa, yes i know that.
ja: and tickets do delhi are 1 k pln cheaper than to dhaka :D
S: but the tickets from deli to dhaka are insanely expensive!
ja: bus tickets as well?
i mean i know about flights
S: no the bus tickets are quite reasonable.
ja: very good :D good good good :D how long does the bus take?
S: I have no idea actually how much the bus fare is, but i heard its quite reasonable. and there aren’t any direct busses, u have to come to kolkata first and then from there to dhaka.and it takes an insane amount of time.
ja: cool :D

I was really happy. Cause it is good news to me. Not only may I get there in a cheaper way, see more and check a new country on my list. It will be a chance to smell the odour of the bus (I hope that buses on that route are not as new as those from “Polski Bus”), go the bumpy roads, jump on the holes, see with your tired eyes the red gaze of other passengers. To listen to their conversations that you cannot understand. To smile to strangers.
I miss the road more than the air. I miss fear combined with excitement. I miss changing places.
Some kind of plan is growing up in my head. I told some people about it. I often heard “it’s a bad plan”, “you’re taking your life from the wrong side”. Ok - it might be from the wrong side. Nevermind. I am not unhappy. But I definitely can be more excited. I have little money. I can have less.
I’m protected. I have home, family, friends. Safeguard. A soft mattress on which I can always fall. I am a lucky girl. And I know it’s time to use it.
Lately I’ve been administrating the Travinger website with travel blogs. I add new entries while editors in chief are visiting Sri Lanka. I don’t like travel blogs. I don’t like travel journals. I don’t like reading about places where somene is, were or will be and I am not. I can write, administrate or add. But not read. I’m jealous. I can’t do that. All I can accept are tourist guides and maps. No stories or coverages.
And that is why I will move on. I feel it like I used to feel that Cuba is not only a dream. Today it’s just a recollection.

And to all the women today on our day I wish - make your dreams come true without asking anyone about opinion.

100

To mój setny post... Wrzucę więc kilka zdjęć, to będzie mój "Warszawski Wong Kar Wai" - nieśmiertelne marzenie o Hong Kongu tak dalekim, lecz coraz bliższym...

It is my hundreth post... I do not know what to write on this occasion especially because nothing much has been going on lately - just work, work, work. So I'll just post some pics - it will be my "Warsar Wong Kar Wai" - immortal dream of Hong Kong which is so far but coming closer...

Koniec Świata/The End of The World

Do końca świata zostały ledwie cztery dni.
Gdzie Lucy tańczyła w niebie z diamentami. Muszę kiedyś pojechać do Etiopii - myślę jeszcze, ale T. już coś do mnie krzyczy.
No właśnie, T. krzyczy i urywa mój koncept na powieść życia. Koniec z literackim Noblem, Pulitzerem, muszę zapomnieć o Nike. Booker śmignął razem z tabletkami w kosmos.

This piece was supposed to be published at the beggining of the year but I did not manage until St. Valentines'. At least it is still before the end of the carnival:

I'm getting out of the train on the Banhoff Zoo. It's only four days left to the end of the world. It's December 27th 2012. In four days at midnight the Maya Peoples' calendar will be finished and everything will go to fuck itself. The only thing I am wondering about is in which TimeZone the Big Boom is going to happen. If it starts at Prime Meridian - we're all fucked in here. If it starts in the time of Yucatan Penisula, then we shall consider UTC-6 whereas Berlin is in UTC+1 which means we will live until the first morning of 2013. Does that mean that we will live seven hours longer than the world? Is it a win or a loss? Fuck only knows. Or maybe Big Boom will be coming to us with the day? It could be going around Earth for 24 consecutive hours. Or it could be static and just Earth will be blown into space piece after piece, meridian after meridian. But when it will be blowing up piece after piece - how is that going to effect the gravity of Sun and Moon? Maybe before everything will go screw itself, Earth will already be moved?
That is irrelevant. I will find out anyway in four days. And in the meanwhile as I wait for T., I am watching news on the dispaly hanging above the platform. I don't understand a word of German but pictures shown speak for themselves. Tuareg people on their Sahara are drowning in mud, Danakil Desert was turned into a lake, Ethiopians in masses are declaring their love to Eritreans, Ukraine was hit by a monsoon wind, Australia is covered with ice and Kangaroos are learning how to skate and I am pooring sweat in the end of December in Germany. I've spent once New Year's Eve in South Africa but even there it was chilly. Champagne was exchanged with anitbiotics and tight mini dress with dirty, yellow ocean pants.
Suddenly I feel some vibrations in my pocket. What I have with me is a packet of green capsules of tranquilizer which is supposed to save my nerves from too early disruption. If I put the packet in the right angle to the light it looks like a row of rockets ready to be launched. I take it out of my pocket and suddenly capsules with antidepressant are braking trough the foil and one after the other are taking off to the sky. First they brake the roof then they heel the sky from depression by dispersing black clouds over Berlin and bring a flood. Next they go through the atmosphere, they prove theory of relativity wrong by reaching the superlight speed, they fly into the closest black hole and fly out from the white whole (without even changing their shape or consistency) and they start travelling around Universe.
Glass from the roof is hurting passengers, my arms are cut. Some child is crying as if the world was already over. We are still alive but...
The end seems to be close.
Finally T. comes - he actually jumps above three steps at the time. His machine-like, muscular body is denying death with it's every little fragment. He is from the place where we all started. Where Lucy was in the sky with diamonds. "I have to go to Ethiopia once..." - I start thinking but T. is already screaming something to me.
Yes... T. is screaming to me and he ruins my concept for the novel of my life. No literaty Nobel for me, no Pulitzer. I have to forget about Nike. Booker Prize went into space along with the tablets. How I wish the end of the world would really come - then I would have views to describe and thing to write about. Just right after I would cure the hangover from the afterparty of course...

Happy St. Valentines' Day. Enjoy it as long as you can...
